VASKILINTU

Vaski is an ancient finnish word that means copper, bronze and brass. Lintu means bird. Magdalena is inspired by the healing therapeutic aspects of music, and the power of sound that affects the emotional landscapes of the human psyche. 

Magdalena started with a classical background in music, singing in the National Opera of Finland at 6 years old, later studying musical traditions that have their roots in the interaction with nature. She is inspired by the power of ceremonial healing music and voice embodiment techniques.  Magdalena holds space for retreats, courses, sharing circles and different workshops weaving in her work and art in finnish language. 

Notable work

* In spring 2020 Magdalena studied Nada Yoga (yogic philosophy of sound)  in Rishikesh India Nada Yoga School. 

* She has worked since 2017  Mexico, Colombia and Ecuador and around the world in different healing centers and traditional folk healers and transformational retreats as a musician. 

* Magdalena was featured with Mikko Heikinpoika in Finnish Broadcast Company YLE in documentary series "Spirituaaliset" in episode called "Rituaalimuusikko", "Ritual musician"

* Magdalena is part of Ministry of Education funded Vuodenkierto project from 2021-2023 with Satu de Weerd and Gabriela Ariana. The Project is about bringing back traditional celebrations and Wheel of the Year, with artists, folklorists and community events.
